Las Américas International Airport, a VINCI Airport

The International Airport of Las Américas – José Francisco Peña Gómez (SDQ) is the main air terminal in the Dominican Republic due to its location and ranks second in the flow of regular passengers in the country.

Located in Santo Domingo at 42 minutes (32.4 km) from the city centre and 17 minutes (11.8 km) from Boca Chica beach, it has 10 boarding bridges that facilitate an average of 160 aircraft daily movements from different cities in Europe, North, South, Central America and the Caribbean islands.

Recently, SDQ airport was intervened by VINCI Airports to expand the central atrium of the passenger terminal, which included the relocation and modernization of the security and passport control services. The airport also has a new shopping plaza with duty-free stores and six new restaurants.
