CONNECT New World, the route development forum dedicated to the Caribbean and the Americas took place on the 30th May – 1st June and gathered over 300 participants in Santo Domingo.
Hosted by the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism, AERODOM and Vinci Airports, the inaugural event brought together C-level executives from the aviation industry and was attended by the Vice President of the Dominican Republic as well as the Minister of Tourism who both officially opened the event.

Participants were able to enjoy a relaxed format and could organize unlimited face-to-face meetings with nearly 40 airlines amongst which : Air Caraibes, Air Century, Air Europa, Air Transat, Arajet, Aruba Airlines, Avelo Airlines, Avianca, Bahamasair, BlueSky Airlines, Copa Airlines, ETF Airways, Eurowings Discover, FedEx Express, Fly OneSky, GOL, Iberia, JetSmart Airlines, LATAM Airlines, Plus Utra Lineas Aereas, RED Air, Reefjet Air, SATENA, Silver Airways, Sky Cana, Sky High Dominicana, Spirit Airlines, Sunrise Airways, Swoop, Tropic Air, Turkish Airlines, VivaAerobus and WestJet Airlines…
Alongside the meetings, 14 panels and insightful keynotes took place, covering important subjects for the region such as: “What are the opportunities for LCC’s in Latin America?” and “Bringing longhaul flights to your airport”. Overall 35 senior speakers from the aviation industry joined the conference programme.
Finally, all attendees were treated to fabulous hospitality: from tasting local dishes and drinks during breathtaking evening functions to exploring the country thanks to several excursions organized by our Dominican Hosts.
Post event survey shows that 98% of the delegates were positive in their feedback comments and would recommend the event to their colleagues.
