An introduction to WestJet

WestJet is a very successful Canadian Low Cost Carrier which in recent years has increasingly been focusing its network on leisure routes. As well as flying between Canada and the US, WestJet also flies to the Caribbean, to Central America, to Europe and now also to Asia. The airline operates about 175 aircraft and has another 67 on order to enable ambitious expansion, including more sun and leisure flying from Western Canada as well as from Central and Eastern Canada.

An introduction to Frontier Airlines

Frontier Airlines is a long-established US Ultra-Low-Cost Carrier (ULCC). The airline's headquarters are in Denver and it flies a fleet of about 140 Airbus aircraft across the United States as well as to Central America and the Caribbean. Frontier has about 200 aircraft on order, including A321neo and A321neo LR aircraft which will give it the ability to fly longer international routes. The airline is now focusing on growing its network in “high fare” markets where there is less Low Cost Carrier competition.
